House Of Bondage Octavia Albert

This is a book with a collection of slave narratives, combined together to give you a rather dank, and hard look at the men and women who suffered in bondage. It is not an easy read, but it is again something which helps you understand the personal grief of the authors, and those who were not able to bear testimony.

It shows how heartless, cold and thoughtless slavery was, and again makes you question the purpose, and the reason this wretched institution took 200 yrs. to abolish.
