Fetishising the black body, BBC, BBB and other roles we play in them - some adult themes
*this blog will have some adult themes and pictures -be warned!!
I have noticed in porn, erotic magazines and books, how the black person is still portrayed as the aggressor who uses his size, and manhood to decimate the poor innocent untainted white women. This script is so popular it literally fills the interracial portion of the adult websites. I wondered to myself why would the men be happy to portray this role so much, but then i realise it is the role that has been preselected for them because this is the storyline people want to watch and consume. To be convinced that black men still want to prey on their innocent white wives, siblings and daughters.I also like to add that porn is the only place where derogatory slur can be used.
As a black woman i find it excruciating because it is the only industry that still perpetuates that myth openly and still encourages white people to discredit black men as nothing more than dangerous, sex hungry fiends.
There isn't just porn, there is also just their general fixation on us and our skin. Please let me know if any black woman or man, has felt their dirty eyes, skimming over your flesh with both disgust and keen interest. It makes your skin crawl, and also heightens your sense of being violated. When someone talks about your black skin or colour as if its some how separate to you, or when people gravitate to you and are clearly there to observe you, it can be quite alarming. These are just some of the examples of this fetish being displayed.
We know this stems from slavery when slave owners, would rape and molest black women and men for their own pleasure. We know they seperated us by skin tone and by their sexual preferences, we know that black brothels and prostitutes were forced by slave owners to serve the fetishes of them and their friends. We know that some unfortunate house slaves were really just used in sexual servitude and that even during the civil unrest women were harassed, raped and even during lynching men and women were not only brutalised they were also degraded sexually, castrated etc.
I cannot condemn or judge the men and women who know this to be true and still allow themselves to fulfill this role whether it is be in porn, in relationships etc, because we all have an instinct of self preservation, we all have that part in us that want to trust that not everyone is bad or has bad intentions, we all want to find the easier way to survive, to thrive, to avoid trouble. For eg If a black man wants to shield himself by hiding under his BBC, then i say let him, because until we can find a way to keep us all safe, we can't call him wrong for choosing a way that is degrading if it keeps him safe.
